Job Summary
Provide organizational support through financial analysis by collecting, monitoring, and studying data. Conduct business analysis, financial analysis, and variance analysis.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
- Organizing information and developing reporting tools/presentations to enable decision making across functions and leadership teams
- Maintain and develop reliable financial reports; conduct pro-form financial reporting; provide reports as required or requested.
- Improve financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.
- Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analysis, studying proposed changes in methods and materials.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and prepare financial outlooks.
- Participate in the budget process; prepare and maintain budgets, outlooks, and variance analysis
- Determine cost of operations by establishing standard costs; collecting operational data.
- Guide cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.
- Maintain database by entering, verifying, and backing up data; ensure valid and reliable data is maintained in the database.
- Increase productivity by developing automated accounting applications, coordinating information requirements.
- Conduct post mortem reviews upon completion of programs or projects.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of concepts and trends by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications.
Other duties as deemed necessary.
Qualification Requirements
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum Experience:
- Prior experience in business operations and/or support organizations preferred
LIcensure/Certification(s):
- Valid Certification as a Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of basic financial analysis methodologies and concepts.
- General knowledge of the consumer products manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency using a financial analysis solution or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution (i.e., SAP).
- Knowledge of AI platforms (Chat GPT, Claude, Copilot, etc.)
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office, including but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Organizational skills and the ability to maintain complex information in a logical and well-thought-out fashion.
- Good communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interact with persons at all levels within the Company.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to break down complex data.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
