Job Summary
Responsible for providing oversight for the finance function to include maximizing the return on financial assets by managing and enforcing Company financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems. Oversee the preparation of financial analysis, forecast, and reporting. Oversee and direct the budgeting process. Ensure legal and regulatory compliance for affiliated accounting and/or financial reporting functions. Provide leadership to an assigned team and partner with organizational leaders to drive strong business results.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive financial planning through analysis of organizational performance and risk.
- Guide organizational financial decisions through supporting, monitoring, and enforcing Company financial policies and procedures.
- Continuously maintain an active awareness of the organizations financial position; act proactively to eliminate or minimize potential financial risk.
- Provide oversight for the organizations budget and expense controls; manage and coordinate the annual budget processes.
- Manage the financial audit and internal controls for the organization; arrange for audits as required or deemed appropriate.
- Prepare accurate timely and details reports on financial performance; routinely provide reporting on the organizations financial condition.
- Routinely conduct financial analysis and provide forecast models.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and trends impacting the financial obligations of the organization; ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and related laws; research new and existing legislation and consult with third-party advisors.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning or directing work, appraising performance, disciplining team members and resolving problems. Work with Human Resources to resolve more complex team member-related issues
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Other duties as deemed necessary.
Qualification Requirements
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field of study.
Minimum Work Experience:
- Seven (7) years of progressive experience within the finance function of a complex multi-national organization of which at least three (3) years must be in a supervisory/managerial role.
Licensure/Certification(s):
- None.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of widely accepted financial management practices and principles.
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency maintaining, managing, and communicating FP&A and P&L’s.
- Knowledge of manufacturing operations.
- Knowledge of and proficiency navigating financial management systems (i.e. SAP).
- High degree of knowledge and proficiency utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with persons at various levels within and outside the organization.
- Good leadership skills and the ability to effectively lead and influence the work of others.
- Organizational skills and the ability to maintain information in a logical well-thought-out manner.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to processing complex information in order to derive reliable and actionable information.
