The Director of Field Sales – USA will build and lead a high-performing national Field Sales organization responsible for translating National Account strategies into exceptional execution at retail.

This leader will establish the team, operating model, priorities, and performance standards required to drive measurable growth across key National Account customers. The Field Sales organization will focus on three core areas: retail associate training, in-store merchandising and execution, and consumer activation events.

The Director will partner closely with National Accounts, Marketing, Product, and Operations to ensure field resources are deployed against the highest-value opportunities and deliver a consistent, differentiated retail experience.

 

Field Sales Leadership

  • Build, lead, and develop the U.S. Field Sales organization, including organizational structure, territory coverage, operating standards, and performance expectations.
  • Recruit and develop high-performing field leaders and sales professionals while building a strong pipeline of future talent.
  • Establish a culture of accountability, customer focus, collaboration, and measurable results.
  • Optimize field resources against priority customers, markets, stores, and growth opportunities.

National Account Execution

  • Partner with National Account leadership to translate customer strategies, product launches, promotions, and growth initiatives into effective field execution.
  • Develop customer-specific field plans that improve retail execution and drive sell-through.
  • Build strong relationships with retailer leadership at the regional, district, store, and associate levels.
  • Provide National Account and senior leadership with actionable field intelligence, including competitive activity, execution gaps, inventory issues, and marketplace opportunities.

Training, Merchandising & Consumer Activation

  • Establish a scalable retail associate training strategy that strengthens product knowledge, brand advocacy, and selling confidence.
  • Drive consistent execution of merchandising, displays, fixtures, POP, product launches, and promotional programs.
  • Develop and lead consumer activation programs supporting key customers, markets, launches, and selling periods.
  • Partner with Marketing and National Accounts to continuously elevate the brand and consumer experience at retail.

Performance & Business Management

  • Establish KPIs and scorecards that connect field activity to business results, including sales performance, store coverage, associate training, merchandising compliance, and activation effectiveness.
  • Use sales data, field intelligence, CRM, and business intelligence tools to identify opportunities and improve performance.
  • Provide senior leadership with regular business reviews, insights, and recommendations.
  • Develop and manage the Field Sales budget and ensure resources are deployed effectively against business priorities.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive sales, field sales, retail, or commercial leadership experience within consumer products or a related industry.
  • Proven experience leading and developing geographically dispersed field sales organizations.
  • Strong experience supporting large National Account retail customers and translating customer strategies into store-level execution.
  • Demonstrated expertise in retail merchandising, associate training, sales activation, and field execution.
  • Proven ability to build teams, develop leaders, establish performance standards, and deliver measurable sales growth.
  • Strong analytical, financial, communication, and executive presentation skills.
  • Ability to build strong partnerships across customers and internal functions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related discipline preferred.
  • Significant U.S. travel and periodic weekend work required.
