Job Summary
The Traffic Analyst responds to customer needs by ensuring the efficient scheduling and routing of orders across retail, direct-to-consumer, and wholesale channels. This role is responsible for coordinating freight carrier arrangements, maintaining accurate and timely updates in retail customer portals, and facilitating clear communication between order management, customer logistics teams, and distribution centers.
The Traffic Analyst builds and maintains productive relationships with local LTL carriers to ensure consistent daily pickups and reliable transportation coverage. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple priorities while supporting on-time order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the timely and successful fulfillment of product orders to meet customer needs and expectations.
- Provide prompt and professional customer service in support of the sales order fulfillment process to include order status information, shipment inquiries, order issue resolution, etc.
- Alert customer of incoming shipments.
- Serve as a single point-of-service-contact for assigned accounts/distribution channel; analyze order issues and seek corrective action.
- Serve as a liaison between customer, account manager, sales representative, and internal functions (i.e., demand planning, sales, production, inventory, and distribution.
- Facilitate order management to include load plan analysis, purchase order fulfillment, etc.
- Utilize an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution or other software suite to complete order distribution, logistics, and processing.
- Run and provide informational reports as required or deemed necessary; distribute monthly reports or as requested.
- Maintain process and communication documentation for each account.
- Maintain a current knowledge of products, product lines, and brands.
- Manage Customer Scorecard Actionable Chargeback investigation and formal repudiation.
- Elevate and coordinate customer-initiated projects and operational assignments.
- Other duties as deemed necessary
Qualification Requirements
Minimum Education:

High school diploma or completion of GED equivalent.
Minimum Experience:
- Three (3) years of logistic, traffic planning, and/or customer service experience within the consumer goods manufacturing or distribution industries.
Licensure/Certification(s):
- None.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of the sales fulfillment and support functions.
- Proficiency using a Personal Computer (PC) to include Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Proficiency using an ERP solution (i.e., SAP) or similar platform.
- Good communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
- Good customer service skills and the ability to professionally interact with customers and present a favorable image of the company.
- Time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to work flexible or non-traditional hours when necessary and as appropriate to meet customer needs.
- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness.
- Experience with multi‑modal transportation (LTL, FTL, Parcel, Intermodal)
Physical Requirements
Normal Office Environment -
Ability to maintain a visual acuity of 20/20 with or without aide.
