Job Summary

Provide organizational support for Lamplight through conducting financial analysis by collecting, monitoring, and studying data. Conduct business analysis, financial analysis, and variance analysis for supported areas.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  • Maintain and develop reliable financial reports; conduct pro forma financial reporting; provide reports as required or requested.
  • Improve financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.
  • Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and prepare financial outlooks.
  • Participate in the budget process; prepare and maintain budgets, outlooks, and variance analysis
  • Determine cost of operations by establishing standard costs; collecting operational data.
  • Guide cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.
  • Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data.
  • Maintain database by entering, verifying, and backing up data; ensure valid and reliable data is maintained in the database.
  • Increase productivity by developing automated accounting applications; coordinating information requirements.
  • Conduct post mortem reviews upon completion of programs or projects.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of concepts and trends by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary.

Qualification Requirements

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

Minimum Experience:

  • No experience required.


  • Valid Certification as a Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of basic financial analysis methodologies and concepts.
  • General knowledge of the consumer products manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency using a financial analysis solution or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution (i.e., SAP).
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office including but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Organizational skills and the ability to maintain complex information in a logical and well-thought-out fashion.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to effective communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interface with persons at all levels within the Company.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to break down complex data.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness.

Physical Requirements

Normal office environment.
