Responsible for the development of semi-complex to complex product supply forecast for Lamplight, home of the TIKI Brand, through conducting detailed analysis in partnership with the Supply Chain and Sales teams. Collaborate with other internal resources, customers, and external data sources to identify trends and provide data based assumptions to ensure an appropriate supply of product is readily available for distribution. Proactively partner with the Sales Department to provide forecasting and analytical needs are met.
- Develop and maintain sales and inventory plan by account to effectively manage inventory, maximize customer service levels, drive inventory efficiencies, and ensure forecasts and planning parameters are in sync.
- Conduct regular analysis of customer POS reports to help provide informed forecast and to understand product impact; communicate trends and key drivers to the supply chain and sales teams.
- Develop, manage, and maintain various complex reports to include but not limited to: POS, forecast accuracy, sales analysis, inventory levels, gross margin, fill rate & inventory turnover; develop and provide reports as needed or deemed appropriate.
- Through data and detailed analysis; drive key decisions in regards to sales, inventory, promotions, etc.; identify and promote opportunities to increase sales.
- Regularly provide a reasonably accurate forecast of product needs by customer/item.
- Regularly partner with operations/supply chain to identify and plan for inventory flow requirements; assist in addressing problems or issues as appropriate.
- Serve as a key data contributor across multiple cross functional teams.
- Maintain quality and highly reliable data and information within one or more databases.
- Support the businesses customer service objectives.
- Serve as a key contributor on one or more project teams.
- May lead the work of other Demand Analyst; provide guidance and direction as necessary; may provide input in the selection and performance appraisal processes.
- Other duties as deemed necessary.
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field of study.
Minimum Experience:
- Four (4) years of progressive experience conducting forecast analysis in the consumer product manufacturing environment.
Licensure/Certification(s):
- None.
- Advanced knowledge of analytical and forecast methodologies.
- Advanced knowledge of database analysis.
- Advanced knowledge and examples of sales and inventory management within the consumer products manufacturing industry.
- High degree of proficiency using a Personal Computer (PC)
- High degree of proficiency using database analytical tools to include Microsoft Excel and Access in additional to similar platforms.
- Advanced analytical skills and the ability to conduct detailed and complex statistical analysis.
- Organizational skills and the ability to maintain information in a logical and well thought-out manner.
- Leadership skills and the ability to lead a team of coworkers in a common direction or task.
- Ability to maintain a mindset that is focused on continuous improvement.
- Ability to identify risk and opportunities through analysis.
- Ability to be detail oriented.
- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness.
Normal Office Environment with Limited Travel Required.
