Compliance Manager

The Compliance Manager at Lamplight Farms is a critical member of the New Product Development team, serving as the key resource to DEFINE guidelines and execute conformance to compliance and regulatory requirements. 

This opportunity will allow you to BUILD and STRUCTURE Lamplight's compliance and regulatory programs to fit our EVOLVING technologies and support our strategic business GROWTH

On a regular basis you will ensure product and facility regulatory compliance by analyzing business methods and ensure that operations are in compliance with all local, state and federal laws, as well as the laws that govern outdoor consumer products and manufacturing business practices.

Additional Details

  • Create and maintain regulatory compliance documentation and guidelines; maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all applicable legal, corporate, compliance and regulatory requirements for products.
  • Drive product testing and certification to comply with regulatory standards to qualify products to market.
  • Build and maintain a facilities and personnel compliance and regulatory program that ensures conformance to governmental agency regulations, reporting expectations, and functional training certifications.
  • Industry Associate and/or standards development as market leader in the ASTM/UL/NFPA space.
  • Develop, implement, and interpret an external and internal audit and compliance monitoring program that promotes and improves metrics and requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and conduct tests to evaluate product safety and recommend changes to reduce or eliminate hazards that violate regulations or company policy.
  • Work closely with corporate Global Assurance and Advisory team on all compliance matters such as supplier social compliance, EPA, Prop65, DOT, CPSC, OSHA, UL, and ETL.
  • Work closely with department and functional leaders to develop, review, and maintain applicable policies, procedures, training materials, and other communications necessary to meet compliance requirements.
  • May coordinate the rollout and training of new or updated policies and directives as appropriate.
  • File and maintain applicable regulatory reporting, documents, submissions, and registrations.

Your Qualifications

  • Ten (10) years of progressive experience in consumer product quality control, compliance, or regulatory
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or other technical field of study
  • Demonstrated experience with consumer product safety and/ or customer support when handling product claims with legal related to consumer care
  • Strong knowledge of standards of practice as it relates to managing and monitoring regulatory and legal compliance
  • Knowledge of the CPG manufacturing industry and Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Analytical skills and the ability to interpret broad compliance requirements or guidelines into practical application

  • Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP)
