Job Summary

Responsible for preparation of tax-related schedules, reporting to taxation authorities at the federal, state, county, and local levels in a timely manner, and advising management on the tax impact of various corporate strategies.  Assist with the development and implementation of global tax processes, procedures and policy management for the worldwide operations of W.C. Bradley Co. (the “Company”).  Responsible for researching the tax laws and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the Company is compliant with current tax rules and regulations.  
 

Duties and Responsibilities

•    Support the tax reporting process by assisting with preparation of federal, state, and local income tax returns to ensure tax returns are filed accurately, completely and timely. 
•    Assist with preparing State Apportionment schedules, M-1 schedules, Tax Depreciation schedules, and other tax schedules to be provided to external tax preparers; review external tax work in a timely manner in order to meet tax filing deadlines. 
•    Provide support in other areas of taxation as needed, (i.e. Sales & Use Tax, Taxable Fringe Benefits.) 
•    Provide guidance for Tax Depreciation (Federal, AMT, and State) to those responsible for setting-up fixed asset additions.
•    Gather information needed for preparing the R&D Tax credit and other available federal and state tax credits.
•    Maintain an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of Federal tax regulations as well as Local jurisdictions where the organization conducts business; assist with updating Company policies and procedures to ensure the Company is compliant with tax laws and current with tax filing requirements.
•    Responsible for various annual and quarterly tax related filings (FBAR, 1099s, 1042s, QFR, Ohio CAT, Census Surveys)
•    Compile and perform qualitative and quantitative statistical analyses of financial records to identify tax savings and/or impact of new tax laws.  
•    Assist with budget assumptions for taxes (both income and composite) and related tax accruals.
•    Promote ethics and compliance; build and sustain an environment where adherence to and reinforcement of the highest standards of integrity and ethics are the norm.  Identify opportunities and take action to enhance compliance within own team.  Ensure enterprise leaders receive the communication and instruction needed to act in accordance with policies and procedures.  Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external business partners. Promote reputation and social responsibility; seek out and maintain external relationships and alliances, strengthening the organization's impact on and reputation in the community. Serve as a credible spokesperson, representative, and sponsor of the company to the public and the community.
•    Performs duties with minimal direction for independent action.
•    Other duties as deemed necessary to support Tax, Treasury, Finance, and Management 

Qualification Requirements

Minimum Education:    Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Tax and Accounting.  


Minimum Work Experience:    3 – 4 years of progressive experience in U.S. Corporate tax, either in industry or in public accounting.


License(s) / Certification(s):    CPA preferred, or CPA candidate.
