Job Summary

The Security & Facilities Specialist enhances departmental effectiveness by serving as a key link between security, facilities, and building occupants—ensuring secure entry, supporting emergency and maintenance needs, and promoting smooth day-to-day operations. This role provides a visible safety presence, responds to incidents, and assists with maintaining the operational integrity of W.C. Bradley Co. properties.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access into the W.C. Bradley Corporate Headquarters.
  • Ensure all employees, contractors, and visitors follow established entry protocols.
  • Greet, screen, and register visitors in accordance with company procedures.
  • Conduct routine patrols of designated areas.
  • Ensure safety, security, and adherence to building policies.
  • Identify and report hazards, maintenance needs, or suspicious activity.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance.
  • Assist emergency services (Police, Fire, EMS) during calls to W.C. Bradley properties.
  • Support incident documentation as required.
  • Provide assistance with minor maintenance issues that arise after hours.
  • Examples include apartment lockouts, smoke detector battery replacements, clogged toilets, and other non-emergency situations that may otherwise require on-call staff.
  • Upon request, escort employees and tenants to vehicles or apartments after hours to ensure personal safety.
  • Monitor computer-automated building systems for irregularities.
  • Report after-hours issues such as lights out, unusual mechanical noises, or malfunctioning doors/equipment.
  • Escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements

Minimum Education

High School Diploma, or equivalent, required. Some college preferred


Minimum Work Experience

2 years of experience in a security, facilities support, or related role. 


License(s) / Certification(s):

  • None required at hire
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain certification in CPR, AED, and First Aid

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Physically capable of responding to a wide range of security and emergency situations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
  • Experience with CCTV systems and access control operations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage professionally with employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to interact professionally with visitors and team members
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to carry or assist with moving incapacitated individuals in emergency situations
  • Proficiency in PC and basic software applications
  • Ability to handle confidential information with a high level of integrity and discretion
  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness
