Job Summary

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for executing day-to-day transportation and logistics operations to ensure timely, cost-effective movement of goods from origin to destination. This role plays a critical part in supporting retail fulfillment, vendor coordination, and inbound/outbound logistics across domestic and international networks.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, data-driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong communication with internal teams, carriers, and external partners

Duties and Responsibilities

Transportation Execution
Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound shipments (ocean, rail, truckload, LTL)
Manage routing and carrier assignment aligned with cost and service targets
Track shipments proactively and resolve delays or disruptions in real time

Retail & Customer Fulfillment
Support delivery execution to major retail partners (e.g., big box,  grocery, farm & fleet, club channels)
Ensure compliance with routing guides, appointment scheduling, and delivery windows
Minimize chargebacks through proactive issue resolution and accurate documentation

Carrier & 3PL Coordination
Serve as primary point of contact for carriers, freight forwarders, and 3PL partners
Monitor carrier performance (ontime delivery, cost, service failures)
Support spot quotes and rate validation when required

Documentation & Compliance
Prepare and validate shipping documents (BOL, commercial invoice, packing list)
Ensure compliance with domestic and international shipping requirements
Support customs documentation and coordination for import shipments

Systems & Data Management
Maintain accurate shipment data in OSCA/ERP systems
Track and report key logistics KPIs (OTIF, transit time, cost per shipment)
Assist in freight audit and invoice validation processes

Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve service levels, reduce costs, and streamline processes
Support logistics initiatives such as network optimization, carrier consolidation, and digital visibility tools

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2–5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of domestic transportation (TL, LTL, intermodal)
  • Proficiency in Excel and logistics systems (TMS, ERP)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness

Preferred

  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness
  • Experience supporting retail distribution (big box, club, grocery, or farm & fleet channels)
  • Exposure to international logistics (ocean freight, customs, Incoterms such as FOB, DAP, DDP)
  • Familiarity with freight audit/payment processes and cost-to-serve analysis
