Job Summary

The Order Operation and Process lead processes and helps the team process orders from customers and consumers for CB, a multi-channel consumer products company encompassing retail, direct-to-consumer, eCommerce, and wholesale. This position requires coordination of orders through multiple systems, such as SAP, EWM, Magento, EDI, custom-built platforms, and manual entry, with a particular emphasis on the accuracy of SAP QTC data. The individual is tasked with ensuring compliance with customer requirements, enhancing team efficiency through KPI oversight, and fostering a culture of ongoing improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The lead processes and aids the team on processing sales orders for CB across various channels, including retail, direct-to-consumer, eCommerce, and wholesale.
  • Coordinate order processing through multiple platforms, such as SAP, EWN, Magento, 3rd party EDI, custom-built systems, and manual entry, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • Emphasize the accuracy of SAP Quote-to-Cash )QTC) data to ensure reliable and seamless order processing, including new item and customer setup via CB Quote Portal.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements and specifications, maintaining high levels of satisfaction.
  • Enhance team efficiency and performance through the management and analysis of Key Performanc3e Indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders in Sales, Commercial Operations, Customer Service, Distribution, and Demand & Supply Planning to align order processing with business objective and customer needs.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement strategies to optimize order processing and overall team operations.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the team and across departments in ensure a cohesive approach to meeting company goals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to order processing systems and workflow promptly.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in technology to continuously improve order management practices.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning within the team, encouraging professional growth and operational efficiency.
  • Engage with customers, sales team, and operational & commercial internal departments to understand their needs and ensure the order process meets their expectations.

Qualification Requirements

Minimum Education:    Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or a related field


Minimum Work Experience:    

•    Four (4) years of progressive experience of order management/order entry experience supporting mid to large size customers, preferably within a consumer products company

License(s) / Certification(s):    APICS certification a plus 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

•    Strong understanding of Order Lifecycle and Order Management principles
•    Comprehensive EDI knowledge in consumer products industry
•    Extensive knowledge of shipment routing
•    High degree of proficiency using a Personal Computer (PC) 
•    High degree of proficiency using database analytical tools 
•    Organizational skills and the ability to maintain information in a logical and well-thought-out manner.
•    Comprehensive understanding of Order Lifecycle and Order Management principles
•    Strong sense of urgency
•    Leadership skills
•    Ability to effectively develop professional and positive relationships with internal and external customer contacts.
•    Ability to identify risk and opportunities through analysis.
•    Ability to be detailed oriented.
•    Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
•    Ability to work in a constant state of alertness
