Job Summary

The Digital Experience & Site Merchandising Manager plays a key role in driving the Direct-to-Consumer business and is essential for delivering a best-in-class user experience by driving the execution of initiatives key to Char-Broil and Oklahoma Joe’s D2C success. This person is responsible for creating, measuring, and supporting a seamless customer experience to optimize the journey for our customers and achieve our digital revenue targets for D2C. The role will oversee our visual site merchandising strategy, promotion execution, and extract consumer and business insights to inform future strategies. This leader will drive improvement and innovation to create a truly frictionless online shopping experience through ongoing testing and a data driven mindset. They will identify and prioritize site enhancements and new functionalities as well as manage the overall site experience and site merchandising strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities

•    Drive a best-in-class site experience by managing and executing a site merchandising strategy. Create seasonally relevant digital experiences while ensuring site best practices within the user interface.  
•    Develop and adjust merchandising strategies and website optimizations that contribute to measurable growth through product discovery, basket building (AOV), conversion improvement, and increased LTV. 
•    Proactively utilize and enhance site analytics and reporting to track and analyze ROI and impact of site updates in comparison to goals, and direct/implement changes for ROI. Provide leadership with recommendations to help shape the go forward strategy.  
•    Monitor, meet, and report on e-Commerce KPIs (conversion, bounce/exit, cart abandon, category revenue) across pages and customer segments, and be able to explain business drivers behind fluctuations in these metrics 
•    Subject-matter expert on digital functionality and systems, launching and communicating new website functionality and usability improvements. This involves phases of brainstorm and concept, design, development planning, testing, launch and post audit.  
•    Drive the product merchandising strategy on site by hosting buying calls with the Product Management and Marketing Teams.  Monitor product sell-through, inventory turnover, and identifying trends across categories; recommend opportunities to key stakeholders.  
•    Adjust the site strategy and plan for new 'blue ocean' opportunities for outdoor cooking based on assessment of the competitive landscape and emerging online trends for desktop and mobile journeys 
•    Collaborate with planning teams to optimize and identify new merchandising, promo, and pricing opportunities to drive increased revenue and conversion 
•    Participate in prioritizing site enhancements with development team; work with development team to review projects daily. Provide timelines and status updates to business while attending sprint planning meetings within an Agile framework.  
•    Partner with our internal IT and marketing teams to manage a learning agenda for the owned site digital journey and business specific to user testing and A/B testing, and contribute ideas for testing based on analysis of site data 
•    Operate with excellence - land the fundamentals and create and help scale efficient workflows, processes, and timelines, embedding operational excellence into everything you do 
•    Lead discussions with other channel leaders in International and Retail to drive best in class digital experiences / best practices.
•    Other duties as deemed necessary.

Qualification Requirements

Minimum Education:   Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or related field required.

Minimum Work Experience:    Three (3+) years of experience in Brand, Ecommerce, Online Merchandising, Website Management and other related fields.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

•    Direct experience with omni-channel environments and/or ecommerce (retail) channels. 
•    Experience with Microsoft Excel and manipulating large data sets. 
•    Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google DataStudio, Google AdWords, paid search advertising and retargeting. 
•    Experience with web and eCommerce tools such as Magento, Magento 2, WordPress, Salsify, PriceSpider, BazaarVoice, GoDataFeed, Optimizely, Searchlight Conductor, Criteo, Content Square, SAP and JIRA. 
•    Track record of cross-functional leadership and collaboration with excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
•    Should be a self-starter that takes pride in accountability, delivering excellence while possessing a caring spirit and winning attitude. 
•    Willing to travel both domestically and internationally 10-20% 
•    Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
•    Ability to work in a constant state of alertness.
