Job Summary

The Char-Broil in-house Marketing Group is hiring a Social Media Coordinator who is passionate about storytelling and about pushing brands forward. This role supports the Social Media team in the day-to-day management of all our social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, Twitter, YouTube) across multiple outdoor cooking brands. This includes overseeing content production from the initial pre-production phase through editing, delivery, and scheduling. This position also requires participation in the review and implementation of strategies, tools and workflows to ensure the ongoing efficiency and development of the social team’s capabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide production and project management support for all social content creation, inclusive of numerous projects in various stages at the same time.
  • Coordinate social content calendar, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a holistic view.
  • Support Social Media Manager in community management efforts, including escalation to Customer Care Team as needed, and identifying real-time trends and engagement opportunities.
  • Schedule & post organic social media activity across all CB-owned platforms.
  • Ensure quality control of all publishing in social platforms, including copy, video sizing, captions, CTAs.
  • Support management of external vendors, including but not limited to photographers, videographers, talent, gaffers, and other various members of production crews.
  • Ownership of social content production budgets with an understanding of burn rate.
  • You will work within the creative ops team to drive optimal resources allocation.
  • You are open to travel (approx. 10%)
  • Perform various administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing budgets, organizing folders and documents, etc.

Qualification Requirements

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, related work experience

Minimum Work Experience: 1-2 years of experience in social media management, creative production or a related field preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Twitter and TikTok required
  • Working knowledge of social media management platforms such as Sprout Social or Hootsuite, project management programs such as Basecamp or Asana, and review and approval programs like Ziflow or Workfront
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, time management & proofreading skills
  • Ability to remain highly adaptable and flexible to pivot content publishing plans
  • Ability to work well cross-functionally and foster close relationships with various teams to ensure all needs are met on a consistent basis
  • Ability to work remotely with reliable connectivity and virtual meetings
  • Ability to work cooperatively with co-workers
  • Ability to have regular and predictable attendance
