Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this position will perform critical legal functions on behalf of its family of world-class companies, who compete in the global marketplace.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Obtains work assignments from General Counsel, based on office needs.
  • Conduct legal research
  • Draft memorandums and assist in drafting legal documents
  • Acts as liaison with clients and outside counsel on assigned projects.
  • Consistently demonstrates analytical ability, ingenuity and judgment.

Qualification Requirements

Minimum Education: Four (4) year paralegal degree or paralegal certification by an institution approved by the American Bar Association preferred, but not required.

Minimum Work Experience:  Five (5) years of law office or corporate legal department experience.

Licensure/Certification: Completion of an ABA-accredited paralegal program preferred, but not required.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work effectively and professionally with attorneys, other paralegals, clients, and outside organizations.
  • Must have strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Must be a self-motivated team player, capable of working with small groups or independently.
  • Must possess excellent computer, organizational, attention-to-detail, project management, written/verbal communication and prioritization skills are musts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows-based software, and Westlaw is a plus.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needs of projects dictate and have flexibility to travel.
  • The ability to meet deadlines is crucial.
