Job Summary

Manage the IT technical and functional services team in implementing, managing, and life-cycle extensions of the Company’s Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) systems. Serve as the subject matter expert uniting warehouse management processes and system support tools. Develop and maintain global business partnership to lead the WMS Business Analysis team in capturing, understanding and analyzing existing business processes to identify continuous process and systems improvement opportunities leveraging a variety of contemporary elicitation, project management, evaluation, and successful implementation techniques and methodologies. Manage external partners and remain current on warehouse management software innovations. Drive best practice process and system solutions adoption as well as lead hands-on configuration, data management, solution enhancements and training including new process and systems deployment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop WMS / EWM BA Team in delivering world class warehouse management system process and system solution implementations, maintenance and continuous improvements
  • Set SMART goals and conduct regular BA WMS Team development and performance discussions and reviews
  • Lead Team training, coach collaboration and develop Team business and operations acumen
  • Engage with business users and serve as primary contact for Warehouse Operations
  • Support day-to-day operational activities as well as be the supply chain & distribution expert for projects
  • Act as primary liaison with Warehouse Operations vendors, IT, and all 3rd party support organizations as it relates to issues & concerns regarding all WM Ops systems and modules
  • Manage Team’s hands-on analysis of data and processes across system landscape supporting supply chain & distribution functions
  • Partner with business teams to lead elicitation and document functional requirements, use cases and test scripts
  • Develop team skills in creating functional specifications for enhancements and changes to systems
  • Partner with technical teams on development and delivery of system changes across platforms
  • Develop team skills in building, documenting and executing test scenarios and scripts (integration and user acceptance)
  • Develop team best practices in software testing and improving quality assurance
  • Coordinate change management for implementation and maintenance activities
  • Manage prioritization and execution of system enhancements including coordination and management of work effort and dependencies across teams
  • Coordinate inputs into project plans and work effort across teams
  • Other duties as deemed necessary.

Qualification Requirements

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field of study.

Minimum Experience:

  • Five (5) years of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Materials Management, Sales Distribution, and/or Order Management systems experience (i.e. JDA Red Prairie and/or SAP preferred).
  • Three (3) years of supervisory/management experience leading a team of IT professionals or Warehouse Management System function.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong business analysis and process improvement skills
  • Solid understanding of warehousing, production and logistics
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well across the organization
  • Ability to engage with the business to analyze and document business process requirements.
  • Thorough understanding of integration points between system master data and functions as well as receiving, distribution (including invoice and manifest close), production scheduling and production and quality management
  • Experience in wholesale distribution (consumer products preferred)
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally 45% annually (travel may vary with project work)
  • Experience with RF (Radio Frequency) technology
  • Experience with test plans, test case scenario’s all types (unit, integration, regression, user acceptance and regression testing)
  • Practical skills in eliciting user requests and translating them into data, functional, quality, and usability requirements
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Project
  • Must be able to operate independently and with little guidance
  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness.

Physical Requirements

Normal office environment with up to 50% domestic and international travel required.
