Manager, IT Sales and Distribution

Job Summary

This key leadership position requires the ability to develop and lead an effective global team, manage multiple initiatives, build/maintain strong business relationships, and facilitate positive and solution-oriented discussions with key cross functional business stakeholders in the Sales & Distribution (QTC) discipline and adjacent Business Process functions, systems and integrations.

Engage and work with business customers and IT support teams to develop, deploy and maintain solutions, implement and insure compliance to best practice standards, and provide roadmap input as a subject matter expert.

This position focuses on support, maintenance, and enhancement of SD QTC business process and customer support solutions including SAP and other interim legacy systems. This position requires a strong understanding of systems integration and applications along with expertise in a broad portfolio of roles and processes including Sales and Customer Service, EDI, master data, allocations, and deliveries.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop SD & EDI Team in delivering world class system process and system solution implementations, maintenance and continuous improvements
  • Set SMART goals and conduct regular SD & EDI Team development and performance discussions and reviews
  • Lead Team training, coach collaboration and develop Team business and operations acumen
  • Direct functional support of the following SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) functions including: order processing, scheduling agreements, deliveries, billing, pricing, third party sales, rebate agreements processing, customer returns, material determination, account assignment, credit/debit memo processing, IDocs, ATP, Constrained Supply Allocation...
  • Requirements gathering and scope definition together with various business stakeholders.
  • Globally Manage priority and resolution of SD & EDI AMS issue tickets
  • Participates in the implementation project for SAP across all business units globally.
  • Provides analysis for and directs activities of SAP SD and EDI support resources as determined by and in conjunction with the senior management team.
  • Leads project planning sessions with one or more customers to improve one or more business processes within an organization, generally involving use and improvement of information systems.
  • Develops relationships with customers and senior management by being proactive, displaying a high level of knowledge of the business and by providing innovative business solutions.
  • Supports and aligns with global IT vision, ensures that IT activities support global vision. Participates in global meetings to review application performance and project status.
  • Work with business teams to understand and finalize requirements of future initiatives.
  • Partner with business on finding new innovative ways of working (including process and system changes)
  • Perform hands-on SAP configuration of the SD modules
  • Partner with external SAP skilled resources to develop enhancements
  • Perform system/integration testing
  • Perform root cause analysis on incidents reported by business clients and proactively keep the business informed on the status of issues
  • Write functional specs and test scripts, design, build, test enhancements to existing functionality
  • Provide functional support for all upgrades, migrations, database refreshes, etc.
  • Definition of innovative functional solutions to meet business process requirements in SAP and/ or other backbone systems.
  • Develops relationships with customers and senior management by being proactive, displaying a high level of knowledge of the business and by providing innovative business solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well across all levels within the organization
  • Ability to engage with the business to analyze and document business process requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualification Requirements

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, Master’s degree a plus.

Minimum Work Experience:

  • 8 + years’ experience in SAP (or other major ERP systems)
  • 3 + years’ Managing direct reports preferred

License(s) / Certification(s): SAP Certifications in OTC/QTC preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or business discipline
  • 4+ years of SAP QTC (SD)
  • 3+ years’ experience managing direct report team
  • Experienced management
  • SAP SD, MM/IM, Project Implementation and Ongoing Support experience
  • Third-party Sales Order Processes (including ATP logic)
  • Intercompany Order Processes (including STO and Transfer Pricing)
  • Service Module and Service Contracts
  • Credit Management, Shipment, and Billing Processes
  • S4/HANA experience (preferred)
  • Familiar with test plans, test case scenario’s (unit, integration, regression and UAT)
  • Experience writing RICEFW
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, & SharePoint
  • Able to operate independently and with little guidance
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well across the organization
  • Strong problem solving, trouble shooting, and analytical skills
  • Some travel is required, expected to be ~25% (domestic & international)
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal working hours due to our global environment.
