Job Summary

Business partner and team member advocate focused on supporting the Char-Broil business unit within the W.C. Bradley Co. family of companies.  Responsible for the design, planning, implementation and management of international human resources programs and policies.  Lead a team of HR Managers, Generalists and/or Administrators to support the HR needs of the business operations and to ensure strategic and tactical consistency across the business.  Responsible for team member advocacy and cultural stewardship, in alignment with the W.C. Bradley Values. Serve as a key member of the business unit’s leadership; assist leadership in managing strategy, policies, procedures, and the like with respect to the workforce. Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulatory compliance. Provide fair and consistent counsel to team members and management within established policies and legal precedents.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the Human Resources function for Char-Broil including employee relations, staffing, training, diversity, compensation, benefits, and health and safety programs.  Manages international team of HR Managers, Generalists or assistants in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. 
  • Serve as a member of the leadership team; assist senior management in the development, maintenance, and communication of business unit objectives and strategy.
  • Manage business unit Human Resources policies and procedures; responsible for the management of and compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Serve as team member advocate – maintain communication channels to understand the needs of the team and work to ensure employees are heard and issues are addressed.  Maintain an open line of communication with senior management and Corporate Human Resources; ensure appropriate parties are kept up-to-date on significant employee and employment matters.
  • Manage employee relations to include investigation of complaints, the appropriate address of behavioral issues, and the like; ensure company policies, standards of practice are consistently applied; responsible for maintaining appropriate documentation in support of each and every employee relations action.
  • Provide coaching to team members as appropriate.  Manage all performance improvement and disciplinary action events; ensure appropriate processes are followed.
  • Assist in the annual budget review process with regards to workforce planning; maintain headcount data and assist in planning for future staffing needs; manage the staffing plan for the business unit; provide guidance to effectively recruit and retain top talent.
  • Provide recruitment services for the business; search for top-tier candidates; guide hiring managers in the selection and on boarding processes; drive retention of top talent for the business. May be responsible for visa/green card processing and administration of expatriate or immigration programs.
  • Manage relevant employment specific regulatory programs and ensure compliance.
  • Administer the Company compensation, payroll, and benefit programs within the business unit, division, region or at the corporate level.
  • Adopt and continuously promote the W.C. Bradley Co. values.
  • Coordinate business unit events.

Qualification Requirements

Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum Experience:

Ten (10) years of progressive experience in Human Resources with specific exposure to recruitment, organizational development, and employee relations. 

Experience working with production or warehousing teams is preferred.


Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM- SCP) or similar designation as a subject matter expert in Human Resources is preferred.
