Development Engineer – Griddles

You will be joining a brand-new Engineering Team with the objective of disrupting the current griddle industry with truly innovative products using cutting edge technology. You’ll be tightly integrating with our Advanced Development Team and our Electrical Engineering Team to push the limits of how to cook outdoors. On projects you work on, you own it – whether it is an exploratory early chat with designers, your time in the zone modelling CAD, cooking on prototypes in the lab or working out manufacturability with a factory, you will wear many hats and employ a broad skillset making you the go-to person for everything technical. Other duties will be assigned as deemed necessary.

 

Required Skills

  • Must be creative
  • Must be knowledgeable of the manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control
  • Must be able to prioritize and manage time while working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must feel comfortable working in a cross-functional team environment
  • Experience in designing a full product in PTC Creo 4.0 or similar 3D CAD system with most parts in sheet metal construction
  • Must be detailed oriented
  • Must be able to meet important deadlines
  • Self-starter and can turn a vague idea into tangible design with limited input
  • Innate ability to communicate and work in culturally and regionally diverse environments including teams, overseas suppliers, and 3rd parties
  • Experience with gas cooking/heating products
  • Must have knowledge of European codes and standards
  • Must have working knowledge of UL, CSA, ETL and related certification processes.

 

Must have at least a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or in a related field and 36 months of experience in designing consumer goods or in a related position. Job Location: Columbus, GA

 

40.0 hrs./wk.           

8:00 AM – 6:00 PM          

Salary $102,690/Yr.
