eCommerce and Brand Marketing Manager - Char-Broil - Atlanta, Georgia

Job Summary

Char-Broil is seeking a Brand & Ecommerce Manager to work within the Marketing team. This person brings a business mindset to marketing Char-Broil grills and products.  This comes to life by ensuring our brand is represented accurately, cohesively and compellingly on our owned websites and on retailer websites.  This person collaborates heavily with Sales, Product Management and IT in addition to their marketing counterparts to bring a best in class go-to-market plan.  Additionally, this person is responsible for managing the operations and commerce of the Charbroil website, the digital tools and tactics that accompany the websites, and achieving a sales goal.

Duties and Responsibilities

•    Lead, develop and execute the company’s direct-to-consumer Ecommerce strategy on our owned websites that will achieve or exceed revenue and profitability targets (full P&L responsibility for
-    Develop and implement initiatives to ensure that the websites deliver the best experience for our consumers, align with digital marketing strategies across channels, and highlight Char-Broil product lines.
-    Direct online merchandising, working with product managers and marketing team to set up new products, cross-sell/upsell, and promote key products while balancing retailer needs.
-    Drive traffic to websites via organic search optimization, paid search, retargeting, affiliate marketing and other tactics.  Measure, analyze and optimize these drivers to understand shopping patterns.  
-    Drive and maintain online strategy, planning and marketing program execution based on analysis of data, past business performance, merchandise strategies, with a focus on driving year-over-year growth from E-commerce marketing activities.
-    Coordinate sales or other promotional strategies with merchandising, operations, or inventory control staff to ensure online product offerings are current and accurate.
-    Establish and manage updates and pricing strategies for direct-to-consumer sales to minimize channel conflict while maximizing top and bottom line financial objectives. Use sales forecasting and strategic planning (S&OP) to ensure the sale and profitability of products.
-    Design, develop, execute, and analyze A/B and multivariate tests; document A/B test learnings and share learnings.

•    Lead go-to-market plans for products and collaborate with other teams to ensure brand and product adheres to architecture and positioning
-    Determine marketing investment for products or product lines through financial, market and channel information
-    Lead key messaging document process to ensure product data is on brand and accurate
-    Oversee Salsify to bring best in class merchandising to all products across all website and in store.
-    Assist Sales and Trade team with in-store merchandising, shopper marketing and comarketing programs and solutions.
-    Participate in product development process to ensure product is aligned with brand from a design, pricing, naming and competitive feature perspective.
-    Lead or assist with various research projects such as Media Mix Modeling, Brand Health, NPS, ad-hoc
-    Other duties as deemed necessary

Qualification Requirements

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or related field required.

Minimum Work Experience: 

  • Six (6+) years of work experience in Brand, Ecommerce, Online Merchandising, Website Management and other related fields. 
  • Previous experience managing a P&L.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

•    Direct experience with omni-channel environments and/or ecommerce (retail) channels.

•    Experienced with Microsoft Excel and manipulating large data sets.

•    Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google DataStudio, Google AdWords, paid search advertising and retargeting.

•    Experience with web and eCommerce tools such as Magento, WordPress, Salsify, PriceSpider, BazaarVoice, GoDataFeed, Optimizely, Searchlight Conductor, Criteo and JIRA.

•    Track record of cross-functional leadership and collaboration, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, presenting to C-suite level executives.

•    Should be a self-starter that takes pride in being accountable, delivering excellence while possessing a caring spirit and winning attitude

•    Willing to travel both domestically 10-20%

•    Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.

•    Ability to work in a constant state of alertness.
