Job Summary

As a core member of the Brand Marketing team, the Social Media Manager is responsible for developing social media to support and enhance the organization's brand and operations. This role will moderate content and conversations on our digital platforms and find creative ways to build positive relationships and engagement with our brand audience. It will work closely with cross-functional teams to stay up to date on the latest product innovation, roadmaps, and marketing strategies to build effective social communication strategies. Responsible for creating an engaged and loyal community while tying your work back to overall business goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as an advocate for our portfolio of brands and manage all community communications across social channels
  • In collaboration with the Brand Marketing team, develop and execute strategies and programs to grow our community and build their connection with our brand
  • Own social media editorial calendar, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to ensure social channels effectively communicate marketing promotions and consistent brand messaging
  • Create original content (copy, video, etc.), independently and/or in collaboration with creative team, brand ambassadors/influencers, external agency
  • Identify and manage UGC to be used in social channels
  • Develop and manage a process for tasking consumer concerns to the Customer Care team
  • Develop reporting to track performance and share results against key KPIs, analyze insights and how to translate learnings to inform future efforts
  • Synthesize trends, needs and desires of customers to internal teams by regularly sharing community insights
  • Stay up to date on the latest digital technology and social media trends; serve as an internal subject matter expert on social media marketing

Qualification Requirements

Minimum Education: BA/BS degree in marketing, communications or a related field.

Minimum Work Experience: 4-6 years of social media experience managing social content marketing campaigns either client or agency side. CPG or ecomm brand experience a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • The ideal candidate for this role must be passionate about social media and have their finger on the pulse of culture and social trends
  • Must have superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Moderate creative abilities - have examples of your original social content, page curation, or reels/video
  • Attention to detail, deadline-driven and goal and results-oriented
  • Working knowledge of Sprout Social, Adobe Suite, digital asset management systems, Basecamp or similar PM tools
  • Experience with brand style guidelines and brand consistency required
  • Ability to remain highly adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well cross-functionally 
  • Ability to work remotely with reliable connectivity and virtual meetings
  • Ability to work cooperatively with co-workers
  • Ability to have regular and predictable attendance
