Lamplight Farms is celebrating its 60th anniversary and continues to grow year over year with innovative products such as the TIKI® Brand Patio Fire Pit and Bitefighter™ LED String Lights.  The Distribution Manager is a NEW position, designed to help us GROW FASTER and RAISE THE BAR!

As the DISTRIBUTION MANAGER you can lead the teams that deliver our innovative products to retail and consumer markets faster and more efficiently than the day before.  You will have responsibility over our two Distribution Centers, and work as part of a cross-functional team turning ideas and technical knowledge into creative solutions and embracing opportunities to develop the best distribution team possible.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish operational procedures for distribution activities, executing all transfer orders and outgoing shipments.  Keep warehouse inventory current, safely handling and disposing of excess materials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate activities of distribution warehouse with activities of Sales, Finance, Human Resources, and Purchasing to ensure availability of products, supplies, and materials.
• Develop proposals for Capital Projects to improve processes, efficiency or execution.
• Responsible to implement and manage the Distribution center cost center yearly budget. 
• Manage manpower efficiency of both full-time team members and temporary associates, model manning requirements using forecasts. 
• Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to team members of the department.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

•  Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or similar technical area preferred.
  • High school diploma or (GED), supplemented by additional course work in warehousing and supervisory/managerial techniques accepted. 
• Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, Supply Chain Analyst, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• SAP S4/HANA and SAP EWM experience preferred. 
  • Other WMS experience accepted. 
• Leadership skills and the ability to inspire direct and indirect reports in pursuit of a common goal.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Spanish language skills helpful.
